Saint Mark Burial Society
This new ministry exists to serve our Orthodox members preparing for end-of-life and funeral arrangements, eventually being able to offer an Ancient Christian Burial practice through the Church (not a funeral home).
Saint Mark Burial SocietyMyrrhbearers (Ladies group)
Named after the group of Myrrhbearing Women (Luke 23:55-24:1), the Myrrhbearers at Saint Mark Church gather for service to the Church and its faithful: by contacting and visiting the sick and suffering; hosting fellowship events such as dinners and parties; providing comfort and funeral repasts upon the repose of Church members; and planning for the beautification of the Church in worship (e.g., Altar Servers’ robes, etc.).
The Myrrhbearers meet once a month, usually after Divine Liturgy on the first Sunday.
Men’s Group
The Men’s Group at Saint Mark Church includes all our men ages 18 and up. The Men’s Group exists to support the men of the Parish by engaging in: personal fellowship in the context of virtue and prayer; consideration of men’s issues centered in the study of God’s Word; acts of service in the House of God, the Church (e.g., work days, dinners, etc.).
The Men’s Group usually meets once a month in a member’s home.
