The St. Mark Memorial Garden is located at the southwest corner of the Church building, the fulfillment of our 2021 Lenten Project. The Garden is a space containing memorial bricks with the names of departed loved ones: members of the Parish, family members, and friends. At the center is a Cross transferred from the Garden of St. Mark formerly planned at our local Manasota Cemetery. Two benches are at the sides of the Garden for pause and reflection. The Garden is designed to be a place of prayer and eternal remembrance in the Kingdom of God.
Memorial Bricks for the St. Mark Memorial Garden can be ordered any time from the brick provider: www.thatsmybrick.com/stmarkorthodox. Simply go to the website and follow the instructions. Bricks can be ordered in 4”x8” or 8”x8” sizes, with or without an Orthodox Cross, the number of characters per brick varying accordingly.
“Grant rest eternal in blessed falling-asleep, O Lord, to Your servants who have fallen asleep, and make their memory to be eternal!”
